Is ABC Kidz Kare a “licensed” child care center?
Yes. ABC Kidz Kare is licensed and inspected annually by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and is a proud member of the Keystone Stars program. Additionally, ABC Kidz Kare is inspected annually and meets all of the requirements set forth by the Chester County Department of Health.

7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Monday to Friday.

Is there a multiple child discount?
Yes. We do offer a 10% discount for each additional child (2 or more) enrolled at ABC.
Is lunch provided?
Not at this time. ABC is a “pack your own lunch program”. A refrigerator and microwave are available for “heat-ups”. ABC also provides an AM/PM snack each day.
What are the staff-to-child ratios?
1 to 4 – Infants
1 to 5 – Young & Intermediate Toddlers
1 to 6 – Older Toddlers (2 yrs+)
1 to 10 – Preschool & Pre-K
Does ABC Kidz Kare offer a half-day program?
Not at this time. ABC is a full day program where each family is allowed the flexibility to drop off and pick-up at any point during our normal operating hours. We do offer part time enrollment on a fixed full day schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday.
Is ABC Kidz Kare open all year?
Yes. ABC Kid Kare is a year round program. We do have shortened hours (7 AM- 3 PM) during the week between Christmas and New Years Day.
Do families get vacation weeks?
Yes. Every family (excluding “summer only” students) is given two weeks of vacation credit. These can be taken for any Monday thru Friday period that your child will not be attending school. A two week written notice is required. These vacation weeks may not be taken back to back and must be used at least thirty days apart.
What are the security measures taken?
Each teacher is equipped with two-way radios and each classroom has an “Authorized Pick-up List” compiled of information that parents provide at the time of enrollment. Each authorized pick-up must have a photo ID. Each family is also given a four-digit code to check their child in and out immediately inside the main ABC entrance using our ProCare childcare management system.
Are parents required to bring their child’s diapers and wipes or is that included in the tuition?
Parents are required to bring the necessary diapers and wipes for each of their children in clearly marked packaging. Teachers will notify you when you are running low.
Is there a late pick-up penalty?
There is a $1.00 per minute, per child penalty for any child that is picked-up after 6 PM.
Are there any types of daily reports that go home each day?
Each child’s classroom teacher fills out a daily report that gives both general and specific information about their day.
My child has allergies, how will that be handled?
Please notify the Director immediately of any allergies or special dietary information.

If one of the above days falls on a Saturday, the holiday will be observed on the preceding Friday. If the day falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the following Monday. Holidays have been taken into consideration in the overall tuition rates, and full tuition is due for weeks in which these holidays occur.
What is your snow closing policy?
In the event of heavy snowfalls, building emergencies, hurricanes, tornadoes, or other severe weather conditions, the center may open or remain open for as long as safety permits. As a general rule, ABC will follow the
Does ABC currently have openings for enrollment?
Our enrollment fluctuates frequently due to family transitions, etc. Please CONTACT US personally to determine if we can accommodate your childcare needs.
Does ABC Kidz Kare offer subsidized care to qualifying low-income families?
Yes. ABC Kidz Kare is registered with the Chester County CCIS (Child Care Information Services) and offers subsidized care through the county’s assistance program. Families interested in participating in this program need to contact CCIS directly at 610-344-5717.
