Our Young Toddler room is your “typical” toddler playhouse!  With children from approximately 15 months to 2 years - if it can be ripped down, torn apart, climbed on or jumped off, this is where it happens.  Our young toddlers are beginning to put labels on everything and it’s our job to give them the language.  Our teachers spend each day exposing children to spoken language through simple directions, songs, stories, and games for language acquisition.  These toddlers will know all of the animal sounds and are perfecting spoon and cup independence.

Our Intermediate Toddlers are anywhere from 2 to 2 ½ years of age.  They now have a name for everything and they are beginning to put those words together to make phrases and simple sentences.  We are encouraging them to use these new words to express desires and dislikes and to resolve conflicts.  These toddlers are learning all about colors and counting too!  Both our Young and Intermediate toddlers rooms are flexible to the interests and needs of these age groups.

Our Older Toddlers room is where the environment starts to look like an early, beginner preschool classroom.  With students 2 ½ - 3 years old, they are now interested in sitting for a prolonged circle time or an in-depth table top activity.  These toddlers are beginning to use scissors, identify their written name, master colors and shapes, and the potty too!  When each child shows an interest in the potty, teachers work diligently to provide an environment for success by taking children each hour to try.  These toddlers transition up as prepared preschoolers!
